Wicked Local/Old Colony Memorial BOSTON – The Plymouth area legislative delegation, including Senator Vinny deMacedo, R-Plymouth, Rep. Tom Calter, D-Kingston, and Rep. Matt Muratore, R-Plymouth, was successful in securing funding for multiple local initiatives in Massachusetts’ FY16 state budget, signed last week by Gov. Charlie Baker. These initiatives include Drug Story Theater of the South Shore, Plymouth’s 400th anniversary, water quality efforts in Plymouth County, mosquito control, and veterans’ services in Plymouth, including an outreach center. “We have worked very hard to advocate as to the importance of these local initiatives to our colleagues in the legislature,” deMacedo said. “These budget items reflect the priorities of our constituents including public safety, water quality and combating opiate abuse.
