State Rep. Vinny deMacedo, a Republican from Plymouth, is a likable guy. When he first ran for the House in 1998, he was known as "Vinny from Cedarville," where he owns a gas station. Before long, after working with residents of North Plymouth on a variety of issues, he became known as "Vinny from Plymouth." And if elected to the state Senate on Nov. 4, we are confident that he will quickly become known as "Vinny from the Plymouth/Barnstable district." What makes deMacedo popular (he has won by 2-1 margins in recent House races) is that he likes to see the good in everyone.
