April 23, 2011 – Old Colony Memorial
On behalf of the more than 41,000 healthcare workers of 1199SEIU throughout Massachusetts, I would like to thank Rep. Vinny deMacedo for meeting with frontline healthcare workers from the Plymouth area recently. He was incredibly gracious in taking time to hear from us as constituents and as caregivers about the challenges we are facing in the healthcare industry right now, as we strive to fulfill our mission of delivering quality care to the residents of Plymouth.
It is good to know that Representative deMacedo cares about keeping our communities healthy and supports investing in healthcare facilities, programs and job training to ensure quality healthcare services and quality jobs for Plymouth residents. The local healthcare industry is facing major challenges in this economy, and we know everyone needs to work together to make healthcare better for our patients, consumers and nursing home residents. The healthcare workers of 1199SEIU and Jordan Hospital want to thank the representative for meeting with us and taking a leadership role in that effort.
