deMacedo Pleased with Brown Victory

PLYMOUTH — The new senator from Massachusetts, Republican Scott Brown, received a resounding endorsement from Plymouth voters Tuesday.  And his former colleague on Beacon Hill, state Rep. Vinny DeMacedo, R-Plymouth, expressed his pleasure in Brown’s victory Wednesday afternoon, as he recounted his friend’s political roots.

“We had back-to-back offices in the transportation offices at the State House,” deMacedo said of Brown. “He’s a friend. I’m excited that the people of Plymouth responded to his message.”

With approximately 60 percent of the state’s voters registered as unenrolled – declaring no party affiliation –  and only about 15 percent registered as Republicans, deMacedo said the upset election sends a message to Washington...
