NECN Newsnight: Summit ends, talks continue

President Bush held a meeting with Congressional leaders, and both presidential candidates. It seems that the hoped for agreement on the Wall Street bailout collapsed. Alabama Republican Senator Richard Shelby presented information to the meeting that may have been convincing.

So what does all of this mean for the first presidential debate? John McCain has vowed to sit out, unless a deal is struck. Jim Braude is joined by Mary Fifield of Mary Fifield Associates, and served as press secretary to Michael Dukakis. Vinny deMacedo is the Republican State Representative from Plymouth, Massachusetts.

Celebratory opening of new Plymouth trial court draws huge gathering

The celebration of the opening of the magnificent new Plymouth Trial Court at 52 Obery Street in Plymouth drew hundreds of guests and dignitaries today, including Governor Deval Patrick, Lt Governor Timothy Murray, Supreme Judicial Court Chief Justice Margaret H. Marshall, Senate President Therese Murray, and Chief Justice for Administration and Management Robert A. Mulligan, who was master of ceremonies for the outdoor noon event.
